In celebration of and in perpetuation of the memory of her mother’s life, Villa Madonna Academy alumna Sarella Walton ’60 established a scholarship to benefit Villa Madonna Academy’s high school students. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a current Villa Madonna Academy student who would otherwise not be able to attend the school because of limited financial resources.

Award Criteria:

- Financial need

- Must be a current high school student

- Displays positive personal characteristics

Application Requirements:   

- Application must be submitted by April 30 of each year and include:

- A Villa Madonna Academy Application Form

- A Villa Madonna Academy Financial Need Form

- A letter written by the student and a letter written by an adult explaining why the student should receive the
  scholarship addressing the criteria listed above

- A recommendation letter from the student’s teacher

- Previous Ellen Walton Scholarship recipient may re-apply each year
