Week of February 6   

We have started reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, the author who visited Villa last year.  This coincides with the 8th grade study of World War I.  We will have literature circles later in the spring.                   

Students have received a list of all vocabulary words and due dates will be given as we read the book.  Vocabulary words from Chapters 3 and 4 are due Monday, Feb. 6.

The next book report is due Tuesday,March 6  This will be a book of nonfiction, not a biography or autobiography.  When choosing a book, I have suggested to students that they concentrate on a topic, not a person.
