We are working hard to spend VMA dollars (your tuition money and donations) wisely. We have been touched by the generosity of our VMA community. When we have mentioned some of our school's needs, people have stepped forward to address them. Villa has instituted this "Wish List" to let you know where we could use help.
Perhaps you are in a business related to our needs. Perhaps you have some “used-but-usable” items. Or perhaps you are just in a position to help out. Here is our current wish list:
LCD Projector for 4th and 5th Grades – A ceiling mounted LCD projector is needed for the 4th and 5th grade classrooms. Soshana Bosley can be contacted at sbosley@villamadonna.net should you want to make a donation towards the projector. The costs are $800 per projector.
Replacement Windows for the MainBuilding – The windows are in need of replacement throughout the main VMA building. By replacing the windows, VMA can prevent crumbling of plaster, improve temperature control and improve utility savings. If you are interested in donating to this project or have a business contact that may be willing to donate, please contact Ed Franchi at efranchi@villamadonna.net.
Desks with Flip-tops for High School Music Department – Currently, the High School Music Department is using traditional school desks. Unfortunately these desks do not accommodate the storage of sheet music and instruments. VMA would like to replace these traditional school desks with flip-top desks to better meet the in-class needs of students taking music classes. Smart Boards for Elementary School – Smart Boards allow the students to use technology in order to interact with computers and other technologies in the classrooms. Smart Boards are needed in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade classrooms. If you are interested in purchasing a Smart Board, please contact Soshana Bosley at sbosley@villamadonna.net. The Smart Boards cost $3,000 each and includes LCD projectors.
Smart Boards for High School - Although there are Smart Boards in some of the high school classrooms, VMA envisions having them in all of the classrooms.If you are interested in purchasing a Smart Board, please contact Pamela McQueen at pmcqueen@villamadonna.net.
Replacement of Fire doors in Hallways and Stairwells – VMA would like to replace all of the fire doors throughout the school within the next two to three years. The school is paying to replace some on a year-by-year basis, but if VMA can receive additional financial assistance with this project, it will accelerate the process. Defibrillator for the Center Building – VMA currently has a defibrillator in the main building and would like to add one to the Center Building. Please contact Ed Franchi at efranchi@villamadonna.net if you are interested in donating a defibrillator.
Electrical Wiring of the Center Building – Presently, there are not enough electrical outlets in the Center Building to accommodate the technology VMA would like to put in place. If you are interested in donating to this project or have a business contact that may be willing to donate, please contact Ed Franchi at efranchi@villamadonna.net.
Floor Buffer Machine – VMA’s Maintenance Department has only one floor buffer machine and is renting a second one to keep the floors clean for students. Please contact Ed Franchi at efranchi@villamadonna.net if you are interested in donating a floor buffer machine.
Replacement of Carpet in the Main Office – The existing carpet in the principals, presidents and business offices are wearing out and needs to be replaced. If you are interested in donating to this project or have a business contact that may be willing to donate, please contact Ed Franchi at efranchi@villamadonna.net.
Guest Speakers for Elementary School and High School – Financial support for guest speakers would allow VMA to expand programs for parents and students on topics such as parenting, internet safety and study skills. You may contact either Soshana Bosley at sbosley@villamadonna.net or Pamela McQueen at pmcqueen@villamadonna.net if you would like to support this project. Depending on the speaker, fees for guest speakers range from $200 - $2000 per speaker.
New Student Information System – Funding for the procurement of a new comprehensive student record keeping system would allow VMA to integrate and upgrade our current systems. If you are interested in donating to this project, please contact Lisa Desmarais at ldesmarais@villamadonna.net.
Wind Screens for the Tennis Courts - VMA's tennis courts are in need of wind screens so wind does not interfere with the tennis practices and games. If you are interested in donating to this project or would like more information, please contact Pamela McQueen at pmcqueen@villamadonna.net.
Oxford English Dictionary for Junior High Literature- Ms. Janet Mitchell is in need of the most recent Oxford English Dictionary on CD. If you would like to donate this much needed teaching tool, please contact Janet Mitchell at jmitchell@villamadonna.net.
Musical Instruments - With the addition of our new music studios, we are adding more instrumental music to our curriculum. If you are interested in donating the the Junior High and High School music program, please contact Amanda Rood at arood@villamadonna.net.

Villa's Tuition Assistance Fund – We have several current and incoming VMA students who need tuition assistance in order to attend VMA. Their parents work hard to make ends meet, but the family believes in the excellent education they receive at Villa. Alumni Class Photos - Class photos back to 1944 are being restored and proudly displayed in the main school hallway. Depending on the size of the class, the cost for this project is $175 - $250 per class.
