Help a High School Student Choose a Career
High School students have some important decisions to make and one of them involves finding a career area that fits their interests, skills, talents, intellectual abilities, etc. Research shows that people spend more time planning a vacation than planning for an area that will occupy 35+ years of their lives and will determine the life style they adopt, the standard of living they enjoy, and the happiness and satisfaction they experience.
You have been where they haven't and those experiences can help them immeasurably. Would you be willing to share these with a student or group of students who are searching? While we have had Career Days, bringing in professionals seemed so limiting. There are so many occupations we could only showcase a very few by inviting professionals in. What we would like to do is work with students who are searching and professionals in the field they wish to know more about. Going to the work place and seeing where and how people work gives young people so many more tools for evaluating the career area and themselves.
If this is something you would like to do, please contact Carole Lonneman 859-331-6333 ext. 210 or complete the form below. It will be automatically sent to me via e-mail.
