The English Department offers core, elective and advanced placement English courses.
 
Teachers are committed to the objectives of:

-  broadening one’s thinking through appreciation of world literature
-  sharpening basic language skills required for effective communication,
   including reading comprehension, writing, speaking and listening, 
-  strengthening skills in grammar usage and mechanics 
-  developing self-confidence and poise in public speaking
