What an accomplishment to have three students from one school selected for the Governor's School for the Arts!  Julie Cardosi, Lauren Kanter and Drew Simendinger are honored to be participants in this summer's GSA.  GSA provides hands-on arts opportunities for Kentucky's talented high school students who are dancers, actors, instrumental and vocal musicians, creative writers and visual artists.  The primiary components of the program include in a three-week summer residential program, regional arts workshops and master classes, college and career day, and an artist roster of performing and visual artists made up of GSA alumni.  Participants are selected each spring on the basis of their creativity, talent and potential in one of the following art forms:  Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Visual Art or Vocal Music.  We congratulate JulieCardosi and Drew Simendinger (Musical Theatre) and Lauren Kanter (Dance).
