AP Physics:

Topics include mechanics, fluids, heat, electricity, magnetism, waves, optics, atomic and nuclear physics--the heart of a first year college course. The requirements of the Advanced Placement Physics B course will be utilized.  This course opens the student to a different way of thinking and looking at the world.

Course Prerequisites:

- Two years of science

- Completion of high school physics course

- Comfortable with Algebra and Trigonometry

- Enjoys problem solving, willing to work in group with other students, willing to do lots of homework-up to
  an hour per evening

- Conversation with the instructor before admission into the class
