French III: 

French III continues to deepen the student’s knowledge of the French language and the Francophone culture. Using a variety of texts: ALLEZ, VIENS!, TRESORS DU TEMPS, or C’EST CA and FRENCH THREE YEARS, the student learns a more complex grammar in order to speak, read and write French more skillfully. Popular and classic films are used to familiarize the student with a variety of spoken French. More outside writing and reading in French is demanded, as well as more involved class conversation. 

Weekly listening comprehension and speaking sessions in the language lab deepens oral/aural skills. The student is encouraged to be an active participant in hosting and visiting our sister school, Lycee Charles De Gaulle, in Dijon, France after mastering French II. This school-to-school exchange takes place every other year for 2 weeks in April and 2 weeks in June.
