AP Spanish IV & V: 

By using the textbooks, AP Spanish (Barron’s), Ventanas Lengua (Vista), Nuevas Vistas (Holt) and the workbook Abriendo Paso Gramatica (Prentice Hall), the student prepares intensely for the AP Spanish examination by sharpening speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.  

Students also receive supplemental material including, but not limited to, articles from newspapers and magazines, short stories and essays, online resources, authentic movies and music from Spanish speaking countries. 

The teacher will speak only in Spanish in class and all students are expected to do the same. 

Course Prerequisites:
- B+ average in Level III
- Strong commitment to vocab development and to speaking the language
- Strong commitment to deepening the use of complex grammar in written work
- Strong commitment to reading in the target language outside of class
- Strong commitment to listening to music, films in the target language
- Teacher approval
