Art History I:

This course includes the art history periods from the Renaissance through Impressionism. The student will have the opportunity learn about art styles as well as exemplary artists, art techniques and art vocabulary. In addition, the student will explore the art critiquing process, participate in relevant art activities and use technology for research and presentations.

 

Art History II:

This course includes the art history periods from Post Impressionism to the Present. The student will have the opportunity learn about art styles as well as exemplary artists, art techniques and art vocabulary. In addition, the student will explore the art critiquing process, participate in relevant art activities and use technology for research and presentations.

 

Music History I:

This music course includes a history of the periods of music and biography of musicians.

Several criteria are used. These include written tests, research projects, quizzes, worksheets, and aural identifications. Performance assessments are based on participation, effort, attention, and correct interpretation. A cumulative final exam will be given.>

 

Music History II:

This music course includes a history of the periods of music, biography of musicians, and music appreciation of diverse styles and cultures. A textbook is used in this class which reviews information learned in Music I (i.e. time periods, composers) but also elaborates on music of other cultures and other styles. Music of today is focused on more in this class.
