Course Goal: Students will be able to verbally, numerically, graphically and symbolically explore, model and analyze algebraic concepts. Students will build upon fundamentals learned in Algebra I and focus on algebra as a means of representation and on algebraic methods as a problem-solving tool. Students will be able to investigate how these algebraic concepts relate and apply to geometry, statistics, data analysis, probability and discrete mathematics. Specific topics covered include: equations and inequalities, relations and functions, systems of equations, matrices, polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions and trigonometry.
