The goal of our computer program is to enable students to use computers as a tool for learning. The curriculum is fully integrated with the classroom curriculum.
Homeroom teachers (Grades K-6) and computer staff collaborate to develop assignments in various content areas. The computer personnel give instructions in the use of various software applications.
The program includes word processing, graphics, presentation software, spreadsheets, keyboarding and internet safety.
In addition to assignments from their teachers, 7th and 8th grade students learn about the history of computers, the parts of a computer, and this year the 8th grade will create their own graduation video.
7th and 8th grade students will receive a Pass/Fail course completion grade for computer class.
