Social Studies-This month we will learn about Australia. We will learn about the flag and the symbols of the flag. We will discuss important inventions, instruments and things we get from Australia. We will learn about the animals that inhabit Australia. This is always a fun unit. 

During the month of May we will complete our travels and study the rainforest of South America.  

 Science--  During the month of May, the first graders will continue working on the Human Body unit. We will be learning about the skeletal, muscular, digestive and circulatory systems. The children love learning all of the big words that are associated with our bodies.
