Geography Bee

Congratulations to David Moser who has advanced to the State Level of the National Geographic Geography Bee.  David will participate in the state level of the bee on Friday, April 4.  Good Luck David!



Destination Imagination Teams Win Win Win at Tournament

Students Receive Serra Club Servers Award

On Sunday, March 30, Rachel Motley and Courtney Motley received the Serra Club Servers Award at the Cathedral. This award is for seventh grade students who have been faithful in meeting the responsibilities of being altar servers.

May Crowning

Each year the seventh and eighth grade teachers choose one of the eighth grade students to crown the Blessed Mother at our May Crowning as well as students who are attendants.

7th Grade Students Receive State and Grand Recognition throug the Duke Talent Identification Program

This year 25 seventh grade students at Villa were invited to participate in the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP).  This program seeks to locate academically gifted seventh grade students.  To qualify, a student must have scored in the top 5% of the national age-grade norms on a recognized standardized achievement test in verbal, mathematics or composite.

Famous Citizens at VMA

Third-graders at Villa Madonna Academy recently celebrated “Biography Day.” Each student read a biography about a famous person, then dressed in character to tell classmates about the person’s life and accomplishments. Ben Franklin, Neil Armstrong, Albert Einstein, explorer Mary Kingsley, and aviator Bessie Coleman were amongst the visitors who appeared in the classroom for the occasion.
