ANNOUNCEMENTS 

 

 

 

To be eligible for the Duke University Talent Identification Programs (TIP), a student needs to score in the top 5% in the nation on a grade level standardized test. Congratulations to our Fourth Grade students who have qualified for the Duke University 4th/5th Grade Talent Search (TIP) for 2012:   Neema Adley, Yamaan Ahmad, Corrina Borchers, Hannah Dewald, Naomi Dias, Chloe Gardner, Evan Gardner, Jack Hein, Nathan Junker, Aidan Kovacic,
Bob McBride, Ella Miller, Ellen Motley, Sam Paley, Madeline Prospero, Aneliese Rodriguez, Lindsey Schlueter, Audrey Smith, Patrick Stebbins, Julienne Steffen, Kendall Voelker and Laurna Verbrugghen. Also qualifying is Peter Maris, a Fifth Grade student who is new to Villa this year.          Way to go, students!

 

 

Duke University Talent Identification Program
This year 28 seventh grade students at Villa are invited to participate in the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP). This program seeks to locate academically gifted seventh grade students. To qualify, a student must have scored in the top 5% of the national age-grade norms on a recognized standardized achievement test in verbal, mathematics, or composite. They will have the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT as seventh grade TIP participants. 
 
The students who are eligible for the 2011-12 TIP are Max Allesch,
David Blincoe, Natalie Boucher, Lauren Bracken, Abby Bricking, Connor Collins, Stephen Hillenmeyer, Cole Izquierdo, Andrew Jones, Ben Jones, Kendall Kelley, Cole Lenzen, Theo Maris, Scott McQueen, Collin Newman, Christopher Nutini, Michael Paxton, Jake Schenthal, Ben Schmitter, Thomas Schutzman, Ashay Shah, Alec Simon, Kimberly Spritzky, Erik Weickgenannt, Zack Werner, Max Wilson, Emily Wright, and Neha Yousuf.
