Computer Lab Schedule:
Computer classes are taught Tuesday through Friday to grades one to eight. Miss Oester teaches grades K, 1, 2, 7and 8. Mrs. Okin teaches grades 3 - 8. The Elementary computer lab is also open on Mondays and Fridays for teachers to schedule additional time.

Software Applications:
We use:
- Microsoft Word for creating word processing documents
- Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets
- Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations
- Microsoft Publisher to create brochures, flyers etc.
- Typing Master Pro for keyboarding
- Movie Maker for creating movies and slide shows
Other software programs used in class are Kidspiration and Inspiration:
Kidspiration is for grades K-5. Students use this program to brainstorm ideas with pictures and words, organize and categorize information visually and explore new ideas with thought webs and visual mapping.
Inspiration is for Grades 5 or 6-12. This program is a visual learning tool that helps students develop ideas and organize thinking. It allows brainstorming, webbing, diagramming, planning, critical thinking, organizing and outlining.
Computer Lab Equipment:
We now have a new lab arrangement, new desks and chairs. We have 23 new custom-built desktop PC's based on Intel Core 2 Duo technology. These PC's use Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003 and Adobe Creative Suite 3. The lab will also have two printers, one Samsung ML 2251-N Laser printer and one HP Color LaserJet 2605 dn, two scanners and an infocus projector. All computers are networked and have internet access under teacher supervision.
