May 17/18: Our last class of the year!  All first grade students enjoyed computer fun.  Have a safe, relaxing summer!

May 10/11: 1H and 1W worked on a project.  1R did not have computer class this week due to field day.

May 3/4:  1H continued working on their rainforest PowerPoint.  1W and 1R did not have computer class this week. 

April 26 / 27:  1H continued working on their rainforest PowerPoint, 1W had free time and 1R finished "My Favorite Things" PowerPoint and had free time. 

April 19 / 20:  1H started their rainforest PowerPoint, 1W did a Grandparents Day project and 1R was off due to Grandparents Day.

March 29/30:  All first graders enjoyed playing Easter games. Happy Easter!

March 22/23: All first graders contined working on PowerPoint.

March 15/16: 1H continued working on their planet PowerPoint.  1W reviewed the PowerPoint lesson from last week.  1R was off due to the in-service day.

March 8/9:  1H started a PowerPoint on the planets. 1W and 1R were introduced to PowerPoint. We covered text boxes and how to change the font, size, and color of the text. They learned how to insert pictures, change backgrounds and add transitions.

March 1/2:  All first graders visited seussville.com in honor ofDr. Seuss' birthday. 

February 23/24:  All first graders played math games on abcya.com.

February 16/17:  All first graders watched a PowerPoint presentation about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

February 9/10:  1H used a website about the United States Presidents to find information for their President reports. More information can be found at the Enchanted Learning Website. 1W worked in Spelling City and 1R worked in Publisher on a special Valentine project. 

February 2/3:  This week 1H finished their powerpoint presentations, 1W enjoyed free time and 1R did not have computer class due to the CSW pep rally.

January 26/27: This week 1H continued working on their powerpoint presentations, 1W illustrated a sentence in Tux Paint and 1R worked on math and "Getting to 100" in honor of the 100th day of school on Wednesday.

January 19/20:  This week 1H began working on their famous African American powerpoint presentations.  1W and 1R worked on Spelling City.  Please encourage your child to play Spelling City at home!

January 12/13:  All 1st graders learned about the childhood of Martin Luther King, Jr. and did a comparison using Kidspiration.

January 5/6:  All 1st graders used Kidspiration to illustrate their New Year's Resolutions.
