A little about Mrs. Garcia . . .
Welcome! I am so excited to have you as a part of my class this year! We will be learning many exciting things during Kindergarten. I thought you might enjoy learning a little bit about me!
This is my fourth year to teach Kindergarten at Villa. Before teaching at VMA, I taught PreK in Kansas City for 3 years. The 2008-2009 school year will mark my 7th year of teaching. I love to work with young children! There is NEVER a dull moment! We share many laughs and I enjoy forming a relationship with each "friend" in my class.
I have my B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo in Alabama. I am currently a graduate student at Northern Kentucky University and pursuing my Master's Degree in Education with a Reading and Writing endorsement.
My husband and I have 3 children. You will hear me share funny stories about my kids frequently. They enjoy meeting the "All-Stars" in my class, as well as hearing stories about my day and the students' learning activities.

We love to go to the zoo, the children's museum, the park, the water park, and play outside! These are probably some of the same things you enjoy doing with your family.

Cinder and Charlie are our family's pets.
Some of my favorite things:
Reading bedtime stories to my children
Rooting for the Bengals
Cheering on the Reds
Walking and being outside
Making crafts, sewing, and beading
LaRosa's cheese pizza
Camping and canoeing
