Grades Kindergarten - 3rd grade

 
Kindergarten has art on Thursday afternoon. This spring students will be creating paper sculptures. They will have a better understanding of 2-D vs 3-D. They will paint spring trees looking at the shapes of trees and the shapes created by many leaves. They will look at how Klimt created patterns in his paintings and make ceramic garden chimes.

First Grade has art on Monday afternoons. This spring students will be creating solor system necklaces, participate in an art gathering project for Childrens Hospital and look at the art of postage stamps.

Second Grade has art on Tuesday afternoons. This spring students will look at the art of Dale Chihuly and make sea-form ceramic pinch pots. They will visit the Frida Kahlo exhibit coming to Villa, learn about Marc Chagall and Zen Tangles.

Third Grade has art on Wednesday afternoons. This spring students will complete a landscape painting complete with a papier mache frame, visit the Frida Kahlo exhibit coming to Villa and learn about Russian architecture.
