May 21                  1R News and Notes              Vol. 33 NO. 31

THANK YOU PARENTS FOR A GREAT YEAR!

THANK YOU 1R STUDENTS FOR A GREAT YEAR!

Religion –We will put our Religion Books away, but I know that these young children will not put their Religion, Christian Faith and Benedictine Values away. I know that these young boys and girls will live as Christians and Children of God. I know that your children will continue to grow in faith and live in God’s love.  Let us go in Peace.

Phonics – Use what you have learned to read, write and spell.  Use your phonics and brainpower!

Reading I hope that you and your child will take time for reading during summer vacation. Check out the reading program at the public library. Reading is everywhere! The more you read the smarter you will be.

Language – I know that the boys and girls will always express themselves and share their wonderful thoughts and ideas.

Math – I know that I can count on the children to study the Math Facts and to practice addition and subtraction. All of the children will benefit from some practice of the basic math facts.  Stay in shape with Math. Math is everywhere. I will send home the Math Book and the Math Practice Book.  There is lots of practice in these books.  Let your child play school and have a Math Class.

The World is our Classroom…

I’ve learned that every great achievement was once considered impossible***I’ve learned that if there weren’t any problems there would be no opportunities***I’ve learned that the important thing is not what others think of me but what I think of me***I’ve learned that the simplest task can be meaningful if I do in it the right spirit***I’ve learned that regardless of age or color, we all need about the same amount of love***I’ve learned that there is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs***I’ve learned that we grow only when we push ourselves beyond  what we know***I’ve learned not to underestimate the power of the human spirit***I’ve learned that everyone has something to teach.

The heart of education is the education of the heart.

Parents, thanks so much to each and every one of you for a great year. Thanks for the many things that you did for your children and for me. Thanks for working with me as wonderful partners in the education of your children. Thanks for giving of your time, talent and treasure to give your sons and daughters an Excellent Education at Villa Madonna Academy. Our classroom has been bright with loving, caring and smart children. Our classroom has been organized, safe, caring, and peaceful and a great place to be. We had fun living, loving and learning together. Your children are good and kind.  They are smart and fun. They are Christian children and very responsible young Americans. I have truly enjoyed this time that I have spent with them. I am proud of each of them. You can be, too. Thanks for the memories.

Have a summer that is safe, fun and happy in every way.

God Bless You.

I’m Glad I Was Your Teacher

I’m glad I was your teacher. I’ve come to love you so.

I can’t believe the end is here. I really hate to see you go.

Remember all the fun we had and all the things we did…

But most of all remember that you are one very special kid.

You are Unforgettable,

Love,

Mrs. Heideman
