State results:
Congratulations to Katie Kurzendoerfer who competed in the 500 Freestyle this past weekend at the State Meet. Katie swam a personal best time and finished 22nd overall.

Villa’s team is lead by returning seniors, Sarah Pugh, Allison Due, Katie Kemper, Rachel Berberich, and Jonathan Bender.
The team started strong at the December Invitational tying for 3rd place.
Outstanding performances include Jonathan Bender finishing 1st in diving, Sarah Pugh finishing 2nd and 3rd in the 50 Free and 100 Free.
Ria Keegan in her first individual event finished 3rd in the 50 Free.
The 200 Free Relay team of Katie Kurzendoerfer, Allison Due, Ria Keegan, and Sarah Pugh placed 2nd.
The team finished with a respectable 13th place out of 25 teams.
An outstanding performance was given by Sarah Pugh with a 6th place finish in the 100 Free.
The team finished 10th out of 15 teams.
Outstanding performances were given by Jonathan Bender finishing 1st in diving, Katie Kurzendoerfer placing 6th and 7th in the 200 Free and 500 Free, and Sarah Pugh finishing 6th and 4th in the 50 Free and 100 Free.
With a 5th place finish at that Gold Medal meet the team has shown that they are competitor in the region.

January Invitational:
Katie Kurzendoerfer finished 1st in the 100 Fly. Jonathan Bender finished 1st in Diving. Sarah Pugh finished 1st in the 100 Free and the 100 Back. The Girls 200 Free Relay Team consisting of Allison Due, Katie Kemper, Katie Kurzendoerfer, and Sarah Pugh finished 1st.
Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Championship:
The Girls Team finished 8th out of 13 teams. Jonathan Bender finished 1st in diving. Sarah Pugh finished 3rd in the 50 Free and 6th in the 100 Free. The Girls 200 Medley Relay Team and the Girls 200 Free Relay consisting of Allison Due, Katie Kemper, Katie Kurzendoerfer, and Sarah Pugh finished 6th and 5th respectively.
Gold Medal Meet:
Katie Kurzendoerfer finished 5th in the 200 Free. Sarah Pugh finished 3rd in the 50 Free. Jonathan Bender finished 1st in Diving. Allison Due finished 6th in the 500 Free. The Girls 200 Free Relay Team consisting of Allison Due, Katie Kemper, Katie Kurzendoerfer, and Sarah Pugh finished 6th.
Regional Championship:

State Championship:
Jonathan Bender performed excellently to place 5th in Diving.

Jonathan Bender finished in 5th place at the State Dive Meet . Jonathan also made the Kentucky Coaches' Association All State, Second Team, and his scores at both the Regional meet and the State Meet qualified him for an All American Team. We will hear more about the All AmericanTeam later this month. Congratulations to Jonathan for his great accomplishments!
