The Blue Lightning played a solid round of golf today finishing 5th in the Catholic Cup at Hickory Sticks. Senior Ray Moehlman led Villa with a 92, a nice recovery after a tough start to the day. Junior Jerod Bockweg, in his first Varsity tournament, also fired a 92. Senior Matt Damon had a 105, which was his best round at Hickory Sticks by ten strokes. He was followed by eighth grader Brian Duggan who shot a 107 in his first Varsity contest. Senior Jordan Drees finished off the scoring with a 108, also his best round at Hickory Sticks. The Blue Lightning showed a lot of promise today in our first tournament of the year and as we go through the season and continue to improve, I see good things coming for Villa.
