Elementary & Junior High Athletics
Villa Madonna Academy
2008-2009

Approximately 75% of all our students participate in one sport. We offer Girl's Volleyball for grades 4-8 and Basketball for grades 1-8.  All students that wish to play on Villa teams must be current with their tuition and be registered at Villa.

This past season, 70 girls participated in Volleyball for grades 4-8. Basketball grades 1-8 have approximately 170 students participating and the season runs through March!  Grades 1-6 is Instructional and 7-8 is Competitive. Please read all the rules and policies found on the website under Athletics.

Students in grades 6-7-8 also may have the opportunity to compete at the high school level for a few high school sports if additional players are needed to complete the high school roster. Golf, Cross Country, Track, Tennis, Soccer, Softball, and Baseball are a few sports that may at times need students from junior high. The decision to accept students for the JV and Varsity teams from the junior high school will be made by the head coach and the athletic directors.  Please see HS Sports and the HS Sports policies if your child wishes to be considered for a high school team. High school teams are very different than elementary teams and the policies are different! Teams are competitive!

Villa is proud to offer many summer camps here at our beautiful facilities for our students and friends in the community. We offer Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis camps every summer. This past summer we had 130 students attend camps. We also offer a 4 week Golf Clinic in April for grades 6-12.

Soccer, Boy's Baseball and Girl's Softball is available through the City of Villa Hills for the younger children grades 2-8. Call the City of Villa Hills to register for these sports for your grade school child.
You and your family can also join our Villa Tennis Club by purchasing a key to the courts. Tennis lessons are available from our Varsity coach for all ages.

All parents must read all policies & rules and guidelines found on our web page under Elementary Athletics when they are in the process of registration. Parents must sign and return the registration forms to the athletic department. Coaches will also have a parent meeting for their team at the beginning of their season and review the policies/ rules and regulations with parents and students.  Please remember, when you sign your child up for a sport, you are making a commitment that they will attend all practices and games. This commitment is very important for a child to learn at an early age. All coaches will take attendance and we try to run all our programs in a very professional manner. Many of our coaches are volunteer and we appreciate your full support and assistance.

Please contact Elementary and Junior High Athletic Director Mary Pavel to set up an appointment if you want more information about our sports program.
