1st Sample Initial Contact Letter to Classmates
Dear Classmates,
Congratulations! We are about to become the newest members of the “VMA Golden Girls Association.” Can you believe it? It’s been almost 50 years since we received our diplomas dressed in our beautiful white dresses and large white hats!
We are planning a 50th anniversary class reunion and we are looking forward to hearing from you. A few of us met at Jane Smith’s house on date to begin discussing plans and ideas. Many ideas were discussed, but one of the dates we know for sure is the weekend of the Alumni Luncheon. It will be held at the Villa on date and our 50th anniversary class will be honored. This would be a fitting way for us to begin our year of celebration as the “old ladies” of the Villa alumni group.
That same weekend could also be our entire reunion celebration if enough of you wanted to have it all on dates. In other words, have activities Friday, Saturday and ending with the Alumni Luncheon on Sunday. We will call this “PLAN A.”
It was also suggested to look at having a “PLAN B” weekend, the first weekend in month. The weather is usually gorgeous and graduations/first communions should not be a factor. So the weekend of date is a possible date.
To really begin planning our Class of ’XX celebration, we’re hoping to get input, ideas and help from everyone. This is our reunion and all are invited to chime in with suggestions. For example:
- How about a “Girls Night Out” to kick things off?
- Lunch with the Sisters/former teachers
- Saturday night dinner with/without spouse/friend
- How about a memory book full of old photos and new updates on classmates?
We would appreciate any suggestions, and we have included a little questionnaire for you to complete. Please complete the attached questionnaire and send it in by date to:

2nd Sample Initial Contact Letter to Classmates
Dear Classmates,
During our initial meetings the Reunion Committee has suggested the following activities for the weekend:
· Friday evening mixer consisting of drinks and light dinner at a local eatery
· Optional Saturday afternoon outing (done on your own) with your old classmates
· Saturday evening dinner at a restaurant in town
Since we all have many ideas for our reunion we would like to know your thoughts about reunion dates and activities you would like to have. This schedule by no means is written in stone. We are very open to suggestions and we would love your input so we can make our reunion a very memorable one.

3rd Sample Initial Contact Letter to Classmates
Dear Fellow Classmates,
Doesn’t time fly? It seems that it was only a few years ago when we were walking around the hallowed halls of Villa Madonna Academy. During our first few days at Villa, we were able to forge friendships that have stayed with us throughout our adult lives. Our unique experiences at Villa are precious memories and they prepared us for the lives we now currently enjoy. It is not very difficult to remember those incredibly hard religion exams, dissecting that fetal pig in biology and going to a basketball game just to get out of uniform the next day! These mutual experiences developed a special bond between friends, classmates and teachers in our Villa family.
Please consider this letter an invitation to participate in the planning and organization of our reunion. We would really appreciate your input for scheduling the reunion and what activities to have. All of your ideas are welcome and would really add to our planning.
The final decision will be based on feedback received from class members. We would also ask that class members provide their preferred e-mail addresses. This will lessen the correspondence cost. It is our goal to ensure that we do not let this anniversary pass without celebration. We hope that many others will join in the planning and participation.
