Congratulations to Ryan Greis '91 and his wife who welcomed their third child, Cole Benjamin Greis, on March 7, 2011.  Cole was born in St. Louis, MO just three days after what would have been his great-grandfather’s 100th birthday.

Kathleen Kinman Hughes ’96
started a new job on February 7th, 2011.  She was hired to serve as Site Director and for recruitment at New Beginnings Family Services, Inc.  They serve at-risk youth and are looking for caring, qualified families and individuals who are thinking about being foster parents.  If anyone is interested, contact Kathleen at khughes@nbfs-ky.com

2000s 

VMA alumna Alyse Bender '04 has some exciting news to share.  Alyse was part of Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law’s Arbitration Team that took second place at the American Bar Association’s National Arbitration Competition held Jan. 21-22 in Chicago, IL.  Chase’s group defeated teams from Stetson University College of Law, Chapman University School of Law and Fordham University School of Law.  In the final round, the Chase team lost a split decision to Georgia State University College of Law.  Congratulations, Alyse!

1950s 

Maggie Wehrman Haas ’56 and her daughter Genevieve A. Haas ’81, traveled to South Africa in November, 2010 and enjoyed a Big-5 safari in the Waterberg Reserve, north of Johannesburg.  They also visited the Stellenbosch Wine Region of Cape Town (“Home of the Great White Sharks”).  The adventure was at the top of their bucket list. 

1960s 

Barabara Tillman Blank '61 shared with us that plans are under way for their 50th Reunion in May, 2011.  The planning committee hopes to see everyone from the VMA class of 1961 during the weekend long celebration.

Pat Reibling Ehlman '61 wrote in that she is looking forward to her 50th Class Reunion in May, 2010.

Margaret Hellmann Bresser '64 and the attendees from last year’s 45th reunion had so much fun that they plan to get together for dinner annually.  Margaret also shared that she now has 8 grandchildren, the most recent one born in 2010.  In addition, her son David returned home from a one year tour of Afghanistan in April.  David flies Black Hawk helicopters.

 1960s 


Arlene Brinker Luebbe ’64 shared some happy news.  Her daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Bob Carbon, had twin boys born Sept. 14, 2010. Their names are Aidan and Rowan.  Her son and his wife, Jeff and Natasha Luebbe, have two girls, Charlie, 4 and Mila 8 mos. They live in Kyiv, Ukraine, but spent this past June visiting her.

1980s 

Shannon Lally Hanington '80 and her husband Ernie welcomed their grandson, Brody Michael Hanington, on August 18, 2010. Brody is the son of their son Michael and his wife Michelle.  "Nonna" reports that he is, of course, absolutely perfect!

1990s 

Lindsay Hoffman Huge '95 won the Villa Madonna Academy Alumni Association facebook “give-away”, where she won a VMA sweatshirt, coffee mug, travel mug and luggage tag.  Lindsay wrote us a lovely note, crediting Villa as being instrumental in helping her reach her career goals.  She is a Professor of Political Communication at the University of Delaware (B.A., University of Kentucky, M.A. and Ph.D., Ohio State).  Congratulations, Lindsay!  

Jennie Cole Cornett '97 married Patrick Cornett on October 16, 2010.  They will live in Louisville, where Jennie is an archivist at the Filson Historical Society.

Robyn Staurovsky Engels ‘98 was married to Joseph (Joe) Engels on August 21, 2010.  Her two sistersAmy Staurovsky Randall ‘90 and Megan Staurovsky Dusing ‘92, were co- matrons of honor. Andrea Roberts ‘98 did a reading. Robyn works for the Chicago Bulls as the manager of radio broadcast and her husband is a computer engineer. They reside in downtown Chicago

Meghan Maher Phillips '99 and her husband, Brad, welcome their new son, Hunter Edward Phillips, born August 12, 2010.  Hunter weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces.

2000s

Brittney Kieffner Bagbey '02was married to Christopher Bagbey on June 15, 2010, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Crestview Hills, KY.  Brittney is employed by Owensboro Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinic as an Athletic Trainer and Chris is a physical therapist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN.  They reside in Newburgh, IN.

Lauren Kanter Fotsch '06 and Ben Fotsch '06 were married June 12, 2010.  Lauren and Ben were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica in Covington, KY.

 1940s

Kathleen "Kitty" Donahue Cook ’43 and her husband, Robert, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  Their 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren were present.  She had a wonderful day!

1950s

Mary (E.) Schaeffer Conroy ’55, has published a book entitled, The Cosmetics Baron You’ve Never Heard of: E.Virgil Neal and Tokalon.  It is available on www.amazon.com and at www.barnes&noble.com.  According to Mary, it’s received good reviews, and fellow alums should find it interesting. 

 

1960s

Rosemary McGuire ’63has two beautiful grandchildren, Grant & Norah.  Unfortunately they live in FranklinTN.  She and her husband, George Kingston, had a wonderful June vacation in Europe.  They visited AustriaSloveniaTurkey, & Croatia. 

 

Mary Ann Grabow Zimmerman ’68let us know that she and her husband moved back to KY and are living in the Independence area. They have 3 grown children.  The oldest, Ben is married, but no children yet.  Her middle child, Megan, is engaged to be married on 3/11/11.  Her youngest, Emily, just graduated from NKU and is looking for a job teaching art.  Emily is very talented!  Mary Ann is working part time at Christopher and Banks in the Eastgate Mall.  If anyone is in the neighborhood, please stop in to say “hi”.

1990s

Lindsay Hoffman Huge '95 and her husband, Michael Huge, celebrated the birth of their daughter, June Kaisa. She was born on July 30, 2010 and is a happy and healthy baby.

Tara Wesseler Kersting ’97 and her husband, Robert Kersting, celebrated the birth of their son, Robert “Bobby” Bruce Kersting, on July 7, 2010.  Bobby weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces.

Abby Hirt Trexler '98, and her husband Elliot have moved to New York City. Abby is working as a senior public relations manger for Jack Morton and Elliot is trading in lower Manhattan. They miss seeing their family and friends, but are loving the city and are excited to be New Yorkers!

 1960s

After 30 years of service at the Christ Hospital School of Nursing, Sarella Walton '60 retired from her position as Financial Aid Director on April 2, 2010.

Laura Annear McGreevy ’64 is the proud grandmother to Baby Lauren who was born on April 29, 2010 and weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz. Lauren is a red head and looks just like her oldest brother who also has red hair.

2000s

Michael Carrico '05 and Ashley Wesseler '05 have been recently engaged.  Michael and Ashley continue to reside in Northern Kentucky.

Timothy Liedel '06 graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Game Development and an Associates Degree in Sound Design. Starting in the fall he will become a TA and begin his MFA program at the Savannah College of Art and Design where his thesis will focus on a new program at SCAD Game Audio Engineering. Timothy was also a semi-finalist in Disney's Imaginations Competition. He will intern with the CEO of Ichthus Ministries, a group that organizes and presents the Ichthus Music Festival which is a 41 year old music festival that was inspired and started shortly after Woodstock; for Christians. 

Kathleen Landwehr '07 is currently attending Georgetown College.  She has been training and competing with a thoroughbred named Remi and was featured in the May edtiion of Horse Illustrated.  She will be volunteering for the 2010 World Equine Games.

Michelle Barton Crowley '85 was selected as the Outstanding Technology Leader of the Year (2009) for the state of Kentucky by the State Technology Association, Kentucky Society for Technology in Education.  Michelle works for the Pendleton County School System as their Chief Inforamation Officer (CIO).  She lives in Campbell County with her husband, Pat, and son, Sean.

Marney Hellman Bresser '64 continues to serve as a volunteer on the Pro Life Commission .  She has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.  Her son, David, is a Major in the Army.  He is a pilot for the Blackhawk Helicopter and is serving a 13 month tour in Afghanistan.  Her daughter, Karen, lives in Ft. Thomas.  Her other daughter, Emily, is married to an army warrant officer, Marshall, and lives in El Paso, TX.  Marney resides in Union, KY.

Maureen Grady-Gerrein ’63 currently works as a therapist in a private mental health practice. On the weekends, she continues to sing with the St. Xavier Jesuit Church. With her husband, Carl, she has made trips to Germany, Ireland, England and Wales.  Maureen has one grandchild, Aidan, age 6 years.  Maureen and her husband, Carl, reside in Ft. Thomas, KY.

Janie Balasa Schulte, ’81 has written a book about my mother, Doris Balasa, who passed away last year. She led an extraordinary life and I was compelled to write about it and share it with others.  It is calledMy Mother, My Angel and is available on Amazon.com.

Sr. Ann Middendorf ‘45 is retired and is currently living happily at the Monastery. She helps driving the Sisters to various places and is very active in the Liturgy of the Hours and Eucharist. Sr. Ann states that “Each day I find out how precious ‘life’ is.”

1950s

 Sr. Mary Carol Hellman '52 works in the Villa Archives located in the "red" building.  She enjoys the help of Sara Reeder Voelker '93, who volunteers her time several hours each week.  Other alumni are also welcome.  She says that working the archives can be "addictive" and "the temptation to explore as you reminisce can be distracting from the task at hand."  If you are interested in the Villa Archives, you can contact her at  .

Elinor Robke-Comer ’57 resides in Covington, KY and continues to visit St. Walburg Monastery with her beagle, Kukla. She will sponsor her grandson, Chris, in confirmation this year.

Judy Saladin Haney ’59 is looking forward to seeing classmates at her 50th reunion and spending some time at Villa.

Sr. Dorothy Schuette ’60 moved back to the Villa grounds into St. Mary’s House. In July, she will start a part time job as Jail and Prison Ministry Coordinator for the Covington Diocese. This will require her to reduce her hours at Mother of God parish. She welcomes any individuals who would like to be involved in this new ministry.
 
Carol Brown Schaefer ’60 hopes to see all of her classmates at the upcoming 50th class reunion in 2010. She welcomes all of her classmates to contact her for additional information.
 
Rose Schneider ’62 continues with international travel, visiting Mexico, Indonesia, South Africa, Cambodia, and Ethiopia in 2008. She was in attendance on the National Mall for Obama’s inauguration this past January. She and her family celebrated her mother’s 87th birthday in March.
 
1970s

 

Rachal Huey Fitzgerald ’75 and her husband Danny have been living in Lincoln, Nebraska for the past 3 years. They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in October. She will be visiting Villa soon and hopes to see her old teachers and fellow alumni.

Jayme Klosterman '79 looks forward to celebrating her 30th class reunion this May.  It will be held at the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, OH.

Rebecca Kleinberg Maluenda ’84 currently lives in Hebron, KY with her husband, Gonzalo, who is from Chile. She has two sons, Nicholas,7 years, and Nathan, 4 years old.

Julie Schaefer Enzweiler ’93
 is the Automotive Research Director for Nielsen Company. She has two children, Samuel, age 7 years and Isabel, 4 ½ years. Julie, her husband, Jason and the children live in Erlanger, KY.

Michelle Andriot Bullis '99 and her husband Jedediah welcomed their first child, Elaina Marie Bullis on April 30, 2009.

Kristina Pavel '00 is a Physician Assistant and is currently living in Louisville, KY.  She works in Cardiothoraci Surgery in Louisville.

Colleen Pavel '02 is engaged to Matt Ford '02 and they will be married in October, 2009.  She is currently employed at National City Commercial Capital.

Katie Pavel '05 graduated from Northern Kentucky University in May, 2009.  She earned her detgree in Sports Business and currently works at the University of Cincinnati Athletic Development.

Brenna Keller '07 completed her sophomore year at Centre College where she is the captain of the Centre Dance Team.  She is also an office holder in Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Katie Flanagan '96 is engaged to marry Michael Gehring on August 15, 2009.  Michael is the son of Mary Edwards Gehring '69, and grandson of Martha Hoppenjans Edwards '41.

Robbie Gordon '98 earned his MBA from the University of Houston in May, 2008.  Robbie and his wife, Margie celebrated by taking a 3 week tour of Europe.  Robbie and Margie are also proud to announce the birth of their first son, John Alexander Gordon, born on March 14, 2009.  Robbie and Margie both work for ExxonMobil in Baytown, TX and currently reside in Houston, TX.

 1970s

Peggy Schulte Burkhardt ’73 works as the Office Manager of a very busy physical therapy office inAlexandriaKY.  Her father passed away on December 9, 2008 and her youngest son Aaron got married onDecember 19, 2008.  Her oldest son, Adam travels and always has a story to tell.  Her middle son, Andrew currently works with her husband at the family owned Computer Store, also in Alexandria.

 

 

1980s

 

Karen Albers Krebs ’83 was very happy to see her classmates last summer. She is lives in Crescent Springs and continues to work several days a week at University Hospital Outpatient Center performing CAT Scans. The rest of her time is devoted to shuttling her three kids around town. They are Jacob, 12, Anna, 10, and Matthew, 8. All three kids attend Blessed Sacrament.


1990s

Andrea Kraft '97 graduated form the University of Kentucky in 2002 and received her Masters at Northern Kentucky University.  She has been teaching for 7 years in the Campbell County School district and is currently teaching 1st grade in Cold Spring, KY.  She married Samuel Mudd, Jr. from Anderson, OH on June 28, 2008 in Covington, KY.

 Victoria "Mikki" Maschmeier Hartig '71 tells us that her son, Logan and his wife had a baby, Gregory on January 28, . It’s her first grandchild. The baby was born in Japan. Logan is a career soldier and has served two tours of Iraq and is presently serving our country in Japan.


Gail Bankemper Phipps ‘72 has been living in Evergreen, Colorado for the past 24 years. She currently works in outpatient surgery as an OR nurse. She and her husband Chuck also own and manage several rental properties in the Denver and Evergreen area. Her oldest daughter Cristen is a senior the University of Colorado-Boulder and is also the alto saxophone section leader of the marching band. John, is a junior at University of Colorado-Boulder. The youngest, Nathan, is a senior in high school and hopes to attend Colorado University-Boulder.

 Peggy Janson Heuser ’76 and her husband, Louis are living LouisvilleKentucky. They are retired from careers as surgeon and surgical nurse and operate The Heuser Clinic, a facility which teaches the Scientific Principles of Nutrition and Exercise. Her two boys are 23 and 21 and also live in Louisville.  Wil is in the music industry, singing, acting, writing, directing, and even a bit of modeling for mostly print advertising.  Chip is a premed graduate/athlete from the University of Oklahoma.  He is a pole vaulter and is training and coaching at the University of Louisville in hopes of qualifying for the Olympics. 

Angela Combs Baseman ’77 was honored with an invitation to decorate an ornament for President and Mrs. Bush's 2008 Christmas Tree at the White House with the theme of "A Red, White and Blue Christmas."  This was commissioned on behalf of Congresswoman Allyson Y. Schwartz and the 13th District of Pennsylvania.  Her family was then invited to the White House for a reception of the artists.  She and her family continue to live in Jenkintown, PA where she teaches ceramics at the Abington Art Center.  Her husband, Frank, is the principal of a graphic design firm, Baseman Design Associates.  Angela has two daughters, Julian and Rosalie.

 Mary Frances Clarke-Toro '61 had her first grandchild on March 15, 2008. Her name is Andrea Cristal Toro Colon. Her daughter, Maria, married in August after completing her Bachelor's Degree in accounting. She is living in Ocala, FL. Her oldest son, Antonio, will begin his doctoral studies at the University of Louisville in January, 2009.

Victoria "Mikki" Maschmeier Hartig '71 is living in Sarasota, Florida and has worked as a historic preservation consultant and historian for the past 17 years. She has two sons. The oldest, Logan, is serving in the United States Army and  living in Japan with his wife after serving in Korea and two tours of duty in Iraq. The youngest, Alex, is living in northern California and attending the College of the Redwoods.

Christine Trinkle '96 graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2001.  She completed her Master in Mechanical Engineering in 2003.  In 2007, Christine was awarded her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California/Berkeley.  This year, she started as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky.  Dallas and Gail Trinkle, her parents, live in Hebron, KY.

Nicole Krumpelman Vaughan '00, who is an amateur photographer, had one of her photos selected by the Cincinnati Enquirer to be printed in a Cincinnati scenes book to be released Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Joseph Beth Booksellers in Rookwood. She was invited to be one of the book signers because she was a photo contributor.

Nancy Mentink Tomasella ‘69
 is an HBA Award winning interior design educator, and published author. She was a recent Scholastic Art Exhibit winner of a hand made ceramic statue of the faceless Virgin Mary. She currently serves as a church volunteer at St. John's Church in West Chester, Ohio and at St. Susanna Church in Mason, Ohio. She has two grown daughters, Sarah, 27 and Lauren, 21 who graduated from Mount Notre Dame. Sarah graduated with honors from Boston University with a degree in Bio-Technology and Lauren is a senior at the University of Dayton studying Photo-Journalism and is in the National Collegiate Scholarship Association.

Joella Schmidt De Bard  ’45 and her husband, Dr. Dick De Bard, celebrated  their 60th wedding anniversary June 19,2008.They met at the University of Dayton,Ohio in Pre-Med and graduated from there. Dr. De Bard is retired from Family Practice and Joella was a medical technologist. They Live at St Leonard Senior Living Community inCenterville, Ohio.

Susan Kuchle Douthitt ’57 is enjoying life on a large farm in Petersburg, KY. She has been with her first dog, “Delilah”, with whom she is bonding well.

Lisa Blank Gergen ’79 is currently the Director of Operations and Certified Nurse Practitioner/surgical First Assistant for a weight loss surgery practice and surgery center in Cincinnati. Her son, Kyle, will be going to college this fall at EKU.
 
Lynn Blank Kallmeyer ’79, (twin sister of Lisa), is a nurse also is a sale representative for surgical implants. Two of hers sons currently attend Villa. They are Chris 2009 and Sean 2010. Her oldest son, Chad graduated in 2004 and currently is a senior at UC majoring in engineering. He will graduate next year with a Master’s degree.
 
Melissa Otten Howard ’72 has worked as a nurse for 30 years and is currently working at St. Luke West. She welcomed the birth of a grandchild, Mason Douglas, this past January, 2008. Melissa’s daughter Emily, is teaching Spanish at ScottHigh School.

Pam Blank Rodiz ‘86 works as an operating room nurse at ChristHospital inCincinnati. She lives in Indiana and has triplets that are 6years old and keep her very busy! She and her husband took them to Venezuela to visit their grandparents.

Alie Napier '01 has been living in Shelbyville, TN since she graduated from Thomas More College in 2005.  She finished law school, passed the bar in October, 2010 and has her own law practice. In addition to her private clients, Alie works with the Public Defender's Office of Bedford County, TN representing juveniles who need court appointed lawyers. 

Congratulations to Josh Ruth '02 who married Hilary Hampton on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church in Cincinnati, OH.

Cassie Napier '04 is a realtor for Sibcy Cline and recently moved back to NKY.  She completed over 2.5 million in sales in the Madison County area in 2010, making her one of the top 20 agents in that region (it was also her first year selling real estate). 

Congratulations to Ashley Wesseler '05 and Michael "Rico" Carrico '05 who were married on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Drees Pavilion in Covington, KY.

Mandie Napier '08 moved to TN to attend Middle TN State University.  She was recently inducted into the Middle TN State’s Honor Society with a 3.9+ GPA. Mandie anticipates graduating spring 2012.

Talia Broering ’03 let us know that she is working as an entertainer/singer on the cruise ship the MS Rotterdam, a ship in the Holland America Line, in their “Showroom at Sea” program.  She has been on this ship since August, 2010 and will continue into 2012.  Talia has visited Hawaii, the South Pacific, Mexico, Central and South America and Europe.  The ship will also be visiting Spain, Portugal and the Mediterranean this fall.  Talia is having a wonderful time singing as she travels the world.

Evelyn Kuhns, a VMA kindergartner, is the great-granddaughter of Julie Steffen Kuhns ’39.  Both Evelyn and Julie are so excited she is attending VMA!

Mary Zembrodt Willenborg ’52 would like to remind the Class of 1952 they are celebrating their 60th reunion next year.  She hopes to have a great showing from the Class of ’52 at the Annual Alumni Luncheon on May 20, 2012. 

Pudgie Klockner Gosney' 57 and her husband, Donald, shared some happy news with us.  On August 27, 2011 their three daughters surprised them with a 50th wedding anniversary party for family and friends.  Joan Droege Thelen '57, who was a member of their wedding party on August 26, 1961, was among the guests at the 50th anniversary party.

Kit Marshall Beedle ’65 decided to leave snow and winter behind and moved from Pittsburgh, PA to sunny Bluffton, SC (near Hilton Head).  Kit is enjoying dividing her retirement between traveling and her new home in South Carolina.

1980's
After almost 18 years as a paramedic, Amy Allgeyer-Cook ’84 left Kentucky and moved to Salem, Alabama, on a beautiful 36 acre farm.  She has been working in Administration/Maintenance for the concrete company where her fiance is Head of Maintenance.  In addition, they started a new business called Big Smoke Diesel, which specializes in customizing trucks engines and other types of diesel repairs.  Amy is also in the process of attaining her RN license, and teaches CPR and First Aid classes.  In her spare time (?), she makes and sells decorative wreaths and baskets, along with Sterling Silver Jewelry.

Denise Wells Byrum ’91 welcomed her second child, Jessica Nicole Byrum, on December 4, 2010.  Jessica’s five year old brother, Jonathan, adores his little sister!  Jessica also has a cousin, Samantha Wells, daughter of Douglas Wells ’95, who was born September 11, 2010.

1950's

Patricia Selm Rich '55 has moved from sunny FL to the "windy city" - Chicago, IL, and loves it!  She moved there to be closer to her son, Bert, and his wife who are documentary film makers.  They were recently married in India.  Patricia and her sister, Cornelia Selm Hall '62, were able to attend the wedding and stay for six more weeks exploring the Indian countryside.  Sounds like an exciting and wonderful experience.

1970's

Maryse Roldan '73 has updated us on her family.  Her daughter, Alexandra, is getting married to a wonderful man in December, 2011.  Her daughter, Lizzie, obtained her CPA license and is now in her third year of law school.  Her son, Pedro, married a woman from Brazil and they are living in San Antonia, TX where he is working as a financial advisor in a bank that services the U.S. Army.  Finally, Maryse has three grandhildren that are the joy of her life: Fabiola Sofia, age 7, Karla Estefania, age 5 and Jorge Andres, 5 1/2 years of age.

Mary Krieg Johnson '90 successfully completed all sections of the CPA exam and received her CPA license in October, 2011.  Congratulations, Mary!

Beth Quinn Stillabower '94 and her husband, Scott, have two little girls - Madison, age 6 and Sydney, age 3.  Beth recently began teaching general biology at Franklin College in Franklin, IN, and very much enjoys it.

Rachel Birkenhauer ’05 married Chadwick Denny on October 8, 2011 at St. Paul Parish in Lexington, KY.  Ashley Wesseler Carrico ’05 was her matron of honor and Katie Grant ’05 was her canter at mass.  Many VMA grads attended the reception at Spindletop Hall.  They honeymooned over the Thanksgiving holiday in St. Lucia in the West Indies and have a house in Lexington, KY where they also work. Rachel is the daughter of Mary Timerding Birkenhauer ’72 and Charles Birkenhauer.

Christopher Polito '05
is in his last year of Law School at Washington University.  His sister, Alexandra Polita '07, graduated last year from Bentley University and is now working on her Masters there.  She is also working at the school as the Assistant Director of Participation and Student Phonathons.

1990's

Jim Owen '94 and his wife, Ellen, have recently relocated to Virginia from Oregon.  They were accompanied by their son, Griffin, and daughter, Sylvia.  Jim is now an Assistant Professor of Agriculture at Virginia Tech.  He is located at the Hamptom Roads Research and Extension Center in Virginia Beach.

Congratulations to Shannon Reutman Smith '97 and her husband, Chad, who welcomed their new daughter, Nylah True, on March 19, 2012.   

2000's

Congratulations to Colleen Pavel Ford '02 and Matt Ford '02 who welcomed their new daughter, Abigail Grace, On February 29, 2012.

1930's

Julie Steffen Kuhns '39 shares that she was "spry" last year but then suffered a stroke in November, 2011.  Julie would also love to get together for lunch with the other remaining 6 out of 10 classmates from the Class of 1939.  We wish you a full recovery, Julie.

1950's

Sr. Mary Carol Hellmann, OSB '52 is still much involved with VMA as archivist for the school, hospitality for Guest House, teaching piano students and monthly visits to the elementary classrooms.   

Sr. Martha Walther, OSB '52 enthusiastically shared, "Hurray for our class's 60th!"

Mary Helen Zembrodt Willenborg '52 hopes to have a large attendance from the Class of 1952 at the Alumni Luncheon to celebrate their 60th reunion.

Catherine Doud Williams '52 sent a note saying, "Let's all support VMA".  Thanks, Catherine!

shared that she and her husband are so proud of their 7 children and 24 grandchildren! 

1960's

Mary F Clarke-Toro '61 shared with us that she is still enjoying the good memories of her 50th class reunion last year.  She says it's wonderful to be back in touch with her Villa friends.

Judith Ann McGee Biedenharn '62 and her husband, Jerry, are trying to retire from their business, Dixie View Nursery, but it's so hard to do in the spring when there's so much to do!  Two of their children, Jeff and Jody, are the 3rd generation to run their Nursery.  When they do take time off, they love to go to Gettysburg, PA, to particiapte in Civil War reenactments.  Judy also loves to educate chidlren about the Civil War and on what women did and how they dressed 150 years ago.

1970's

Barbara (Babs) Keller '74 just moved back to KY after living over 30 years in the San Francisco Bay area.  She's still doing design work and hopes to get in to some galleries or shops in the area.  She's also in the process of setting up a ceramic/jewelry studio in her basement.  Babs hopes to have a small reunion in Ft. Mitchell soon!

1980's

Karen Greis Cartwright '87 
and her husband, Joel, have two children.  Alex is 11 and Madeline is 7.   

2000's

Christy Gordon Tuemler '00 
and her husband, Kevin, are expecting their second child in early May.  Big brother, Brian, is very excited to meet his little brother or sister.  Best of luck, Christy!

Congratulations to Chris Gross '08 who graduated this May from Case Western Reserve and has accepted a job with Microsoft at their headquarters in Seattle, WA.  Good luck in your new career, Chris!

2010's

Michael Haynes '11 and Payton Lutz '11 will be resident assistants next year at Miami University (Michael) and the University of Kentucky (Payton).
