Suzanne Sullivan ’40 practiced the Benedictine values that were taught to her at Villa throughout her life. Miss Sullivan retained a life-long gratitude for the education she received from the Benedictine Sisters at VMA. In keeping with that spirit of gratitude, Suzanne Sullivan, at the time of her death on May 8, 1999, generously bequeathed to Villa Madonna Academy funds to establish scholarships designated for students who have a record of outstanding academic achievement and are in need of financial assistance.
High School Award Criteria (multiple scholarships):

- VMA High School student - May be an incoming freshman
- Academic excellence
Elementary School Award Criteria (multiple scholarships):
- Financial need
- Academic excellence
Application Requirements Application must be submitted by April 30th of each year and include:
- A Villa Madonna Academy Scholarship Application Form
- A Villa Madonna Academy Financial Need Form
- A letter written by the student and a letter written by an adult explaining why the student should
receive the scholarship addressing the criteria listed above.
- A recommendation letter from the student’s teacher.
