In memory of their beloved daughter, Julie Kalker ‘93, Jack and Jeanine Kalker established a scholarship fund at Villa. Julie truly valued the Catholic and Benedictine education she received at Villa. Julie’s scholarship was established to assist a VMA high school student who would otherwise not be able to attend VMA because of limited financial resources.
Award Criteria:
- VMA high school student
- Displays personal characteristics that embody the Benedictine values, particularly the values of service, community and hospitality.
- Academics - Displays characteristic of academic perseverance Families make financial sacrifices in order for their children to attend Villa
Application Requirements:
- Application must be submitted by April 30 of each year and include:
- A Villa Madonna Academy Application Form
- A letter written by the student and a letter written by an adult explaining why the student should receive the scholarship addressing the criteria listed above.
- A recommendation letter from the student’s teacher
