In honor of their mother, Irene Frisch Feldhues, VMA alumni Jeanne Feldhues ’58, Mary Feldhues Theurer ’60, Rose Feldhues Bitsoff ’65 and Linda Feldhues ’71, established a scholarship at Villa. Irene was unable to attend high school but truly valued education for her children. She worked very hard to send her four daughters to Villa and the Feldhues daughters wanted to give the opportunity for others in financial need to be able to attend the Villa. 

Award Criteria:

- Financial need

- VMA High School student - May be an incoming freshman

- Minimum GPA of 3.0

- Displays positive personal characteristics

- Student must be Catholic

- Preferably given to a female

- All things being equal, consideration should be given to:

     A child of an educator
     A student from Blessed Sacrament School

Application Requirements:   

- Application must be submitted by April 30 of each year and include:

- A Villa Madonna Academy Application Form

- A Villa Madonna Academy Financial Need Form

- A letter written by the student and a letter written by an adult explaining why the student should receive the scholarship addressing the criteria listed above.

- A recommendation letter from the student’s teacher
