On December 10, 2011, all eighth grade students who are interested in applying to Villa Madonna Academy for high school should take the High School Placement Test at VMA. Villa Madonna awards six merit scholarships and one alumni scholarship based on the following: results of the exam; recommendation of the elementary/junior high principal; and, if necessary, review of grades from junior high school. Students must take the entrance exam at Villa Madonna on December 10, 2011 to qualify for these specific scholarships. Other scholarships and financial aid are available. Students who test at their district high school may apply for admission for VMA High School by submitting their HSPT results and report cards to the Admissions Office.
VMA mails registration information the third week of November to students who attend an elementary school in the Diocese of Covington and/or are registered in a parish in Boone, Campbell or Kenton counties. Other students should contact the Admissions Office at Villa for a registration form. There is a $20 test fee payable to Villa.
Results of the High School Placement Test are sent to parents the first week of January along with letters of acceptance, if applicable. A meeting is held is early January to explain how to interpret the test scores. Registration for the freshman class is due in February.
Students who have not taken the HSPT and are interested in applying to Villa Madonna for 9th grade should contact Mr. Richard Skinner, High School Admissions Coordinator, (859) 331-6333 ext. 139 or e-mail
. Arrangements will be made for the student to take the entrance exam.
