In celebration of their 50th reunion, the Class of 1956 established a scholarship to benefit Villa Madonna Academy’s junior high school students. The class wants to recognize and reward those students who integrate the Benedictine values of reverence and peace, scholarship, service and community into their lives. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming 7th grader who will maintain the scholarship through 8th grade so long as the award criterion continues to be met.
Award Criteria:
-Incoming 7th grade student
-Displays personal characteristic of altruism and demonstrates potential leadership qualities
-Academics - Displays characteristic of perseverance despite academic set backs
-Family makes financial sacrifices in order for their children to attend Villa
-Student does not have to be of Catholic faith
Application Requirements:
- Application must be submitted by April 30th of each year and include:
- A Villa Madonna Academy Scholarship Application Form
- A Villa Madonna Academy Financial Need Form
- A letter written by the student and a letter written by an adult explaining
why the student should receive the scholarship addressing the criteria listed above.
- A recommendation letter from the student’s teacher.
