Every year, students who are passionate about world politics prepare themselves for a three-day state wide mock United Nations assembly. They choose what country they want to represent, and learn everything they can about that country. This year several students involved in KUNA along with Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Tilley have prepared themselves for the mock United Nations meeting. Over 900 students attended the statewide convention, each delegation representing a different country in order to propose answers to certain problems the world faces.  At the event, Daniel Hillenmeyer, Clay Jackson, Nicole Zatorksi and Whitney Cox were recognized for writing a ‘highly ranked’ proposed that was presented in the General Assembly.  In addition to this honor, 7th grader, Nicole Zatorski received an outstanding speaker award.  Congratulations to the students and to Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Tilley.
