Dave Smith, photographer for Cincinnati’s Fox 19 television news, explained something of his craft to journalism students at VillaMadonnaAcademy during a classroom visit on September 7. Using footage he had shot on location in Cincinnati, Nicaragua, and various other venues, Mr. Smith demonstrated the importance of interview technique, camera angle, and editing. He also fielded questions from the students.
