“Invisible Children,” an advocacy group which assists war-affected families in Uganda, visited Villa Madonna Academy on February 28 to help inform students about the plight of children and families in a country which has not known peace for the past 22 years.
The young Americans who founded “Invisible Children” had visited Uganda a few years ago, and produced a film about conditions there. From the film grew an outreach program which provides education and services to the Ugandan children and their families. For journalism students at Villa, this was a real-life example of the power of film as an agent of change. More information is available at: www.invisiblechildren.com
