Villa Madonna teacher Mrs. Darlene Wellman presented a geology lesson that her fourth graders will likely remember for a long time. Using a sheet of vanilla ice cream to represent a glacier, animal crackers as fossils, and cookie crumbs and candy as soil and rocks, Mrs. Wellman demonstrated how glacial movement rearranged the landscape of the Ohio RiverValley. Students were happy to eat the glacier and the glacial till once the demonstration was complete!
