Newsletter for the week of February 6-10, 2012
Dear Parents,
It’s been crazy/lovely weather lately and it seems to have affected the students. We’ve been having some problems with students picking at and on each other. We are doing what we can at school, but we need help from you too. Please talk to your child about the importance of not picking on one another. They are at a transition period and they need help to make it through in one piece. We will be talking about some helpful ideas and suggestions during morning meetings. Thank you for all that you do and all the help you give to us and the students.
Plans for this week:
Math
· Organize list and data
· Range, median, mean, and mode
· Graphing sense
· M&M Day--By Friday, all students need to bring in a small bag of M&Ms (the size you get at the check-out counter at the grocery store) Make sure they are regular/plain M&Ms; they need to be the “normal” pack, no special colors
Science
· Physical properties of matter
· Electricity and magnetism
Religion
· Chapter 7: Grace: A gift of strength and support
